Elon Musk's brain-implant company has raised $280 million in a Series D funding round led by Peter Thiel's Founders Fund.
The valuation was not disclosed. Previously, the media reported that the company's valuation reached $5 billion. In May, Neuralink received an FDA license to test implants on humans. The aim of the studies has yet to be disclosed, and recruitment is also due, but the company notes that cooperation with the FDA is an important step that will one day allow the technology to help many people.
