Raison invests in Chainalysis — a blockchain analytics company

International investment holding Raison has acquired a stake in the leading American blockchain analytics company Chainalysis. The transaction occurred in the secondary market; the amount is not disclosed. Chainalysis was valued at $8.6 billion in its Series F funding round in May 2022. Among the key investors are Accel, Benchmark, SV Angel, Ribbit Capital, Coatue, Sequoia, and Blackstone.

Chainalysis provides data, software, services, and research in blockchain transactions. The company's technology identifies a transaction's sender, receiver, and purpose in real-time. This helps global regulators find criminals and detect money laundering and tax evasion. The company is ranked in the Forbes Fintech 50 2023, Forbes Blockchain 50 2023, and Fortune Crypto 40 lists.

700+ Chainalysis clients include the FBI, DEA (The Drug Enforcement Administration), Interpol, IRS (Internal Revenue Service), Barclays, Square, eToro, Crypto.com, DTC, Bitfinex, and Gemini. Recently, Chainalysis announced its alliance with consulting giant Deloitte to provide digital asset data and analytics solutions to even more corporate clients.
