Raison Asset Management has invested in two American unicorns, Scale AI and Rubrik, with an estimated value of $7.3 billion and $3.4 billion, respectively, and in Oxygen, the US neobank for freelancers and small businesses. This brings the firm's portfolio of private companies to 21.
The investment in Scale AI amounted to $3 million. Terms of the deal with Oxygen and Rubrik were not disclosed.
"Previously, we only considered pre-IPO companies for investment, but now we make exceptions for early-stage startups like Oxygen if we see their significant growth potential," said Andrey Berezin, managing partner of Raison Asset Management.
