On 9 June, the Central Asian Venture Forum (CAVF) 2022 was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, organized by the largest venture holding company in Central Asia, MOST, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The event brought together more than 700 investors, startup founders, journalists, and venture market experts.
Alexander Zaitsev, Managing Director of Raison Asset Management, participated in the forum's panel discussion "The way of international venture companies: experiences and practices." He was joined by Marat Akhmetsadykov (MOST Ventures), Denis Kalyshkin (I2BF), Evgeny Galiakhmetov (Angels Deck), Grigory Trubkin (MindRock) and Kian Zandia (Sturgeon Capital).
The panel discussed their experiences developing international private equity and venture funds and the risks and rewards of investing in private companies and startups. They also discussed the democratization of the market – including the emergence of the digital investment platform Raison app, which allows you to invest in venture capital from as little as $100.
