Raison Padel Cup: the first tournament in Marbella

How padel became a way for Raison Wealth Club members to get acquainted

On October 11, the first Raison Padel Cup padel tournament for members of the private Raison Wealth Club community took place in Marbella. Eighteen players took to the courts at Los Naranjos Padel Club, each of them an investor or entrepreneur.

Start: getting acquainted on the court

Raison Padel Cup participants included both experienced players and those picking up a racket for the first time. The tournament therefore began with an introductory training session led by professional coaches, who explained the rules, demonstrated basic techniques, and helped newcomers get comfortable on the court.

Tournament: Americano and new connections

The matches were played in the Americano format: after each round, participants changed partners, so everyone had the chance to play in several pairs and face opponents of different skill levels.

This format made it easy to meet people right during the game: with each round, a participant got a new partner and a new conversation partner. Conversations continued between points, during partner changes, and after matches, so no separate networking program was needed, while the competitive nature of the event added excitement to the interaction.

Based on the results of the main rounds, four players with the best results advanced to the final. The other participants stayed by the court to cheer on the finalists. The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony for the winners.

After the game: continuing the conversation

After the packed sports program, the tournament participants gathered for a joint lunch, and in the evening continued socializing over dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. The conversations that began on the court moved to the table and continued in a more laid-back setting.

In place of a conclusion

Raison Padel Cup became a new format of gatherings for Raison Wealth Club members. The tournament brought together sport and informal networking among people connected by investments and professional interests.

The Americano format helped guests get to know one another. Thanks to the constant rotation of partners, connections formed naturally, without a formal networking program.

We plan to develop Padel Cup as a series of sporting events for Wealth Club members. Such events give club members the opportunity to connect outside the business agenda and build relationships based on shared experience.

The next tournament will already take place on November 7 in Cascais, Portugal, at the Rackets Pro padel club (Quinta da Marinha). The tournament is designed for 16 players of any skill level. Apply to participate.
