First Wealth Club Meeting in Barcelona: How It Went

From November 14 to 16, the first meeting of Raison Club members took place in Barcelona, bringing together investors and experts in the field of venture capital. Here's a recap of the event.
Day 1: Arriving to Barcelona
On November 14, all members of the exclusive Raison Club checked into the prestigious hotel, located in the heart of the city. In the evening, guests enjoyed a dinner on the terrace of the restaurant and engaged in informal conversations.
Day 2: Conference
The day began with a business program. In the morning, participants visited the city’s leading technology hub, where they discussed key trends and advancements in innovation.
After returning to the hotel, the conference commenced. Esteemed speakers in the investment field shared their insights:
- Oxana Raim introduced the concept of Wealth Club.
- Alexander Zaitsev, co-founder and CEO of Raison FinTechnologies, presented modern approaches to managing assets through multi-family offices.
- Albert Colomer, Catalonia's superangel, member of the Board of Directors of the EBAN and co-founder of BANC, shared his experience as a business angel in Catalonia.
- Murat Abdrakhmanov, a superangel, unveiled the details of successful investments in Central Asia.
- Max Bautin, co-founder and GP at IQ Capital Fund, discussed two decades of experience in DeepTech investments.
- Jaume Sanpera, CEO & co-founder of Sateliot, highlighted opportunities in space technology in Europe.
- Oleg Malenkov, partner at TA Ventures, explained why the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) model is attractive to investors.
- Vladimir Lupenko, a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Impress, shared a unique case study on building a unicorn in Europe.
The day concluded with a formal dinner at the elegant local restaurant, where participants continued exchanging ideas and strengthening their networks.
Day 3: Wine Tasting
November 16 was a day of discovery outside Barcelona. In the morning, participants visited the local winery, where they tasted some of the finest local wines and delved into the art of winemaking. Later, an authentic lunch featuring traditional Catalan cuisine was served at the local restaurant.
