SpaceX
SpaceX plans to launch 23 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral on October 23. The Falcon 9 rocket launch was delayed due to weather conditions and is now scheduled for Wednesday. The first stage of the rocket will return to Earth eight minutes after launch and land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. This will be the 18th launch for this rocket and its 13th mission to deploy Starlink. SpaceX has already deployed over 6,400 Starlink satellites into orbit and continues to expand its mega-constellation, having conducted 98 Falcon 9 launches this year.
Anthropic
Anthropic’s Claude is making a breakthrough: in beta testing, Claude can now operate a computer by itself. It can view the screen, move the cursor, type some text, and click buttons. In the future, this could automate tasks that currently require human intervention. The feature is experimental, and Anthropic is actively collecting feedback from developers. Companies like Asana, Canva, Cognition, DoorDash, Replit, and The Browser Company are already using this capability.
Anduril
Anduril Partners with Impulse Space on a Space Project. The companies are collaborating to develop and deliver integrated space systems to high-energy orbits for the U.S. and allied nations. As part of the partnership, Impulse will provide the highly maneuverable Mira spacecraft, while Anduril will install its Lattice system onboard. Lattice will allow a single operator to control, task, and maneuver multiple spacecraft simultaneously.
