Business Breakfast in Aktobe: How It Went
A live dialogue on the future of investments and 2026 priorities
On January 20, Raison hosted its first business breakfast of 2026 in Aktobe. The intimate gathering brought together local investors and entrepreneurs for an open discussion of investment results in 2025 and key priorities for the year ahead.
The choice of Aktobe was deliberate. In December 2025, Raison opened a new office in the city, and the business breakfast became the first step toward building a local investment community. For the team, being closer to the regions and engaging directly with investors is essential — not only in major financial hubs, but also where real businesses are being built.

A key highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Andrey Berezin, Co-Founder of Raison, who personally traveled to Aktobe to meet with investors. He reviewed the investment landscape of 2025 and placed particular focus on venture capital, explaining why this asset class deserves special attention from private investors today.

The discussion centered on the transformation of public markets, the growing role of private technology companies, and why many future market leaders remain private for longer than before. Andrey also shared Raison’s approach to selecting venture deals, managing risk, and building diversified portfolios, as well as the sectors that may become key growth drivers in the coming years.

The business breakfast format set the right tone for the meeting: no stage or formal presentations, but open questions, discussion, and the exchange of practical experience. It is precisely these close, thoughtful conversations that shape the Raison community — a space where investors can discuss strategies, share perspectives, and find opportunities for collaboration.
The Aktobe business breakfast opened Raison’s 2026 calendar of events and marked the start of regular meetings in the region.
