Anthropic and Scale AI included in Forbes Cloud 100 list

The Forbes Cloud 100 list for 2024, created in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures, ranks the top 100 private cloud companies globally. This annual ranking highlights the most innovative cloud companies in the world.

Anthropic listed at #5 on Forbes Cloud 100

Anthropic, valued at $18.1 billion, is emerging as a strong competitor to OpenAI. In June 2024, Anthropic released Claude 3.5 Sonnet, a large language model.

According to CEO Dario Amodei, this model outperforms all existing competitors. Claude 3.5 Sonnet is being utilized in various applications, including coding and legal document processing. Clients like Pfizer and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute are using this technology to help doctors organize patient conversations effectively.

Scale AI's opportunities and challenges

Scale AI, valued at $13.8 billion, has established itself as a data supplier for generative AI. Founded in 2016 by Alexandr Wang and Lucy Guo, the company initially focused on providing human labor for tasks unmanageable by algorithms. This was essential for labeling data to train AI systems in self-driving cars.
