Raison got +189% net return on Anthropic shares

In January, Raison venture fund closed a landmark deal — we sold Anthropic shares, giving our clients a 189% net return (return after fund's fee) in USD for 8 months; annualized net return was over 500%. The money has already been deposited into clients' accounts.

Raison became one of the few investment funds — or even the only investment fund — that provided Kazakhstani investors with the opportunity to participate in the growth of Anthropic, a top-5 company in artificial intelligence.

We participated in the company's C round in May 2023, acquiring a $1.5 million stake. In December 2023, with our client's agreement, we sold 87% of the shares on the secondary market. The fund undertook the entire process of organizing the deal, including finding counterparties and the most favorable terms of sale. The remaining 13% of securities were retained on the fund's balance, so we will continue to follow the company's progress.
