Raison Commits $3 Million to Quantum Light

Raison have committed $3 million to Quantum Light, an investment fund founded by Nikolay Storonsky (co-founder of Revolut) and Ilya Kondrashov (founder of Kriya Finance). Combining deep technological expertise with proven venture capital strategies, the fund targets high-growth technology markets. At the core of Quantum Light’s approach is ALEPH, a proprietary analytics platform evaluating over 60,000 companies across 300+ parameters — from financial metrics to technological indicators. Backtested over 2015–2023, ALEPH ensures a data-driven investment process, enhancing decision-making accuracy and mitigating risk. Quantum Light focuses on late-stage investments (Series C+), prioritizing companies with proven unit economics and consistent growth metrics. According to Raison, the decision to invest was influenced by both Storonsky’s global reputation and the growing role of AI as a transformative force in the economy. For Kazakhstan, this investment marks a strategic step toward deeper integration into the global tech ecosystem.

Quantum Light stands apart from traditional venture funds with its AI-centric focus and deep-rooted expertise. Nikolay Storonsky, whose net worth is estimated by Forbes at over $7 billion thanks to the success of Revolut, brings invaluable experience in building a unicorn that secured $1.8 billion in funding. The fund has already backed standout projects like Robin AI, a legal tech startup whose revenue grew fivefold over the past year through AI-powered contract automation. Quantum Light’s participation in Robin AI’s $26 million Series B round in January 2024 exemplifies its ability to identify and scale transformative ideas, — notes a Raison analyst.
